Installation Instructions:
Requires TX25 Torx Screwdriver

Important:

  • Ensure the fuel tank is clean and free of debris.

  • Do not use power tools to remove or install the gasket—this may damage the tank or components.

  • If the fuel pick-up assembly is damaged before, during, or after installation, it must be replaced.

Step-by-Step Guide:

  1. Remove all four screws and washers from the fuel pick-up using a TX25 Torx screwdriver. Discard old screws and washers.

  2. For gasket replacement only: Lift the fuel pick-up slightly and remove the old gasket.
For full replacement: Lift the fuel pick-up completely and remove both the gasket and assembly.

  3. Inspect the tank’s gasket surface and clean it if necessary.

  4. Inspect the new gasket to ensure it is free from debris or damage. Install the gasket by sliding it over the fuel pick-up. Ensure correct orientation—the gasket is rectangular.

  5. Lower the fuel pick-up into place, ensuring the float functions properly. Hand-thread the four new screws with washers at least one full turn.

  6. Using the Torx screwdriver, gently tighten all four screws until they touch the fuel pick-up surface.

  7. Tighten each screw one full turn, using the screw slot as a reference, and check all screws a second time to ensure secure installation.
