Description

Round Aluminum R Ferrules – Wire Rope Swaging End Stops

Round Aluminum R Ferrules are precision-manufactured aluminium end stops designed for secure swaging onto wire rope using approved hydraulic or mechanical swaging equipment. They provide consistent deformation and reliable retention for non-lifting applications, making them suitable for marine, architectural, and general rigging uses where load support rather than lifting is required.

These ferrules are compatible with both fibre core and steel core wire ropes when swaged with the correct die profile and pressure.

Wire Rope Capacity – Diameter (mm)

  • Fibre Core (Fill Factor f = 0.4 – 0.5)

    • Minimum: 3.7 mm

    • Maximum: 4.1 mm

  • Steel Core (Fill Factor f = 0.5)

    • Minimum: 3.4 mm

    • Maximum: 3.8 mm

Swaging & Die Specifications

  • Die Identification: Marked T

Important Safety & Application Notice

End stops (R and RCU) are not permitted for lifting applications.
The expected strength of this end termination is approximately 50% of the wire rope Minimum Breaking Load (MBL). This value is informative only and does not represent a guaranteed capacity.

Verification testing must be performed to confirm the actual strength and suitability of the termination for the intended application. Final responsibility for correct selection, installation, and testing rests with the system designer or installer.
