The Pains Wessex Para Red MK8A Rocket Flare is a SOLAS 74/88 approved long-range maritime distress signal, designed for maximum reliability in emergency situations at sea. Built to withstand extreme environmental conditions, it remains fully functional even after immersion in water.
This rocket-projected parachute flare launches to approximately 300 metres (1000 ft), deploying a bright red flare that burns for 40 seconds at 30,000 candela, providing a highly visible distress signal day or night.
