Chain Marker Installation & Guide Plate Setup

Easily mark and manage your anchor chain with this simple installation and setup guide. Designed for quick fitting, strong hold, and easy visibility while anchoring.

Fitting Your Chain Markers

Important: If using the guide plate, ensure the tab remains at the top of the rack.

1. Break off two opposite halves of the marker from the rack
2. Position each half on either side of the chain link
   • One half features a protrusion
   • The other includes a cavity with a screw hole
3. Press both halves together firmly to align correctly
4. Insert the supplied screw into the hole
5. Tighten using a suitable screwdriver until secure
   • Do not over-tighten
6. Markers can be removed and repositioned if required

Building Your Guide Plate

Important: Insert colour tabs with the numbered (or “+”) side facing down.

• Numbers are positioned on one side of the plate
• Colours are positioned on the opposite side

Assembly Steps:

1. Cut required numbers from the strip, ensuring clean edges
2. Slot numbers into one column of the guide plate
3. Press firmly until fully flush
   • If not flush, check edges are clean
4. Cut colour tabs and repeat on the opposite side
5. Mount the guide plate in a visible location on your boat for easy reference when anchoring

Recommended Setup

• Place the Anchor Indicator as your first marker point
  • Position approximately 1 metre from the anchor
• Use the Stop Indicator near the end of the chain
  • Signals when to stop deploying chain

Suggested Marking Intervals

• Mark every 5 metres from 2m to 20m
• Mark every 10 metres from 30m onwards

Recommended Colour Sequence

For clear, consistent identification, use the following sequence:

Red → Yellow → Light Blue → White → Light Green → Pink → Orange → Royal Blue → Ivory → Forest Green → Magenta → Auburn → Purple → Brown → Olive
